Tingkat Pemahaman Mahasiswa PGSD terhadap Implementasi Pembelajaran Terpadu pada IPAS Kelas IV Kurikulum Merdeka

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of understanding of Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students regarding the implementation of integrated learning in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) for Grade IV within the Merdeka Curriculum. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using a modified Borg & Gall development model. The participants consisted of 60 fourth-semester PGSD students selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included multiple-choice tests, questionnaires, observation sheets, and interviews, all of which were tested for validity and reliability. The validity test indicated that all instrument items were valid (r count > 0.38), while the reliability test showed a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.89 (high category). The findings revealed that students’ level of understanding was in the good category, with an average score above 70% across all aspects. The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed (sig = 0.145 > 0.05). The correlation test showed a strong and significant relationship between understanding and the implementation of integrated learning (r = 0.72; sig = 0.000). The regression analysis revealed an effect of 52% (R² = 0.52) with the equation Y = 12.3 + 0.65X. However, students still experienced difficulties in the assessment aspect. Therefore, strengthening practice-based learning and authentic assessment training is necessary to improve students’ readiness as future teachers.
