Optimalisasi Potensi Lokal, Estetika Masjid, dan Edukasi Multisektoral di Desa Bintang Mersada

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing a da’wah management strategy based on modern managerial functions (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling/POAC) in transforming ceremonial da’wah into a community empowerment movement (da’wah bil-hal) in Bintang Mersada Village, Sidikalang Subdistrict, Dairi Regency. The research method used was a qualitative approach through a research-based community service model. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and mapping of the area’s potential. The results show that the holistic implementation of Da’wah management successfully realized the three main program pillars. In the economic pillar, training in dish soap production helped improve household budget efficiency while creating opportunities for micro-enterprises, whereas mentoring Sidikalang coffee farmers successfully optimized post-harvest management integrated with Islamic work ethics. In the physical and aesthetic pillar of places of worship, improvements in cleanliness and the creation of interior calligraphy at Al-Jami’ Mosque, Al-Ikhlas Mosque, and Sakinah Prayer Hall have proven to restore the function of mosques as centers of village civilization and strengthen the congregation’s sense of belonging. In the educational pillar, the Rabbani character development of the younger generation was realized through a multisectoral approach, including anti-bullying campaigns, “Go Green” environmental awareness initiatives, and the strengthening of Qur’anic literacy in elementary schools and MDTA (Islamic Religious Education Centers). The implications of this research confirm that the integration of POAC functions supported by synergistic partnerships between the Village Government, BKM administrators, school officials, and residents is capable of building a sustainability model based on the transfer of ownership. In conclusion, the integration of modern da’wah management and local social capital has proven effective in improving material well-being, the comfort of worship facilities, and the religious quality of rural communities in a self-reliant and sustainable manner.
