Abstract

The development of higher education requires universities to produce graduates who possess not only academic competence but also skills relevant to the needs of the workplace. One approach implemented to achieve this goal is the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Curriculum, which is oriented towards measurable learning outcomes. In addition to influencing academic competence, OBE implementation is also thought to improve students' psychological aspects, particularly self-efficacy. This study aims to analyze the effect of the implementation of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Curriculum on students' self-efficacy. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires using a Likert scale to students participating in OBE-based learning. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression with the assistance of statistical software. The results showed that the implementation of the OBE Curriculum had a positive and significant effect on students' self-efficacy. The regression equation obtained was Y = 25.317 + 0.645X, which indicates that every one unit increase in OBE implementation will increase students' self-efficacy by 0.645 units. The t-test results showed a t-count value of 6.482 with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), so the research hypothesis was accepted. In addition, the coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.472 indicated that the implementation of the OBE Curriculum was able to explain 47.2% of the variation in student self-efficacy. These findings indicate that the implementation of the OBE Curriculum can be an effective strategy in improving student self-efficacy and supporting the success of the learning process in higher education.
